El nuevo edificio de Sain Martins aparece en el periódico Evening Standard.
El crítico de arquitectura, Kieran Long, lo califica de espacioso e indefinido y que al haber ocupado un antiguo edificio (Lewis Cubitt, 1850) no se ha convertido en el típico edificio institucional sin carácter o alma.
Un único punto negativo y muy cierto; antes, cuando los diferentes cursos estaban en diferentes edificios y zonas de Londres, este flujo de estudiantes creaba una riqueza localizada y en zonas de tránsito que con el nuevo edificio se pierde.
El edificio en persona impresiona.
The new Saint Martins building appears on the Evening Standard.
The architecture critic, Kieran Long, says: "the main luxury of Stanton William's design is how they have created large spaces with undefined uses" and that thanks to the preservation of the old building (Lewis Cubitt, 1850) it doesn't fell like a soulless modern building.
There's one negative point; "My fear is that the removal from these institutions ...mean that central London is even more given over to leisure and tourism[referring to those buildings where courses used to take place, such as Holborn o Charing Cross]...becoming King's Cross Central soulless and monocultural"
Visiting the building is quite impressive.
