Ver el hotel de espejo del estudio Tham & Videgard Arkitekter me parece bastante fuerte.
(4x4x4, en el norte de Suecia, cerca del círculo Ártico tiene cubierta transparente de color ultravioleta para que los pájaros no choquen)

Y digo esto porque parece el típico proyecto que se queda en papel. Pero no, está construido.

Me recuerdan a las cajas de aluminio de Donal Judd. Que difícil ha sido encontrar buenas fotos de las cajas. No creo que este trabajo sea sobre las cajas sino sobre el entorno y quizás el reflejo (no como tema sino como medio). Bueno ahí queda mi escueto comentario.

It´s very impressive to see the mirror hotel designed by Tham & Videgard Arkitekter.

(4x4x4, in the north of Sweden, close to the Arctic circle with transparent ultraviolet colour is laminated into the glass panes which are visible for birds only)

And it´s because it looks like the typical project that will be never done. But it´s, in fact, built.

It reminds me of Donald Judd´s Aluminium boxes. It's been quite difficult to find good pictures of the boxes. I don't think this work is about the actual boxes but the environment and, perhaps, the reflection (not as a topic but maybe a mean). Ok, that's my plain closing comment.

Ai Weiwei (artista chino) en el Tate Museum de Londres. Personaje que se apellida Ai, ya que en China las personas se llaman primero por su apellido.

Para mí ha puesto sobre la mesa un tema un poco ya, desgastado.

La masa contra la unidad. La sociedad contra el individuo. Nadie le niega la poética del trabajo, pero creo que lo que más valor tiene el proceso de fabricación. (Del que desafortunadamente no tengo el video, pero pone en activo zonas rurales en depresión económica, esta en concreto realizaba piezas de porcelana para las antiguas dinastías).

100 millones de semillas de girasoles echas y pintadas a mano. Chinos de porcelana que se giraban en dirección a la luz de Mao.

Ai Weiwei's (chinese artist) exhibition in Tate Modern. The surname of this character is Ai, as in China everyone is called by their surname first.

To me is proposing a bit worn away topic.

The mass against the unit. Society against the individual. I can't deny the poetry of the work, but I recon the most important thing in this project is the making process. (I don't have the video of the making of the seeds, but it's very nice because it reactivates zones in economic depression, in this case a place where people would make porcelain items for ancient dynasties).

100 million of sunflower seeds done and painted by hand. Porcelain chinese people that would turn following the direction of Mao's light.
